True Love to True Something Or Other [Warning: Adult Content]

I'm reading A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken. The first have is a captivating love story that's brought me to the brink of tear more than once in these lowly first 50 pages. Vanauken admits that his love was "pagan", and many of these admissions come in the context of the couple's great love for nature as well as a more honest "we weren't Christians" use of the term. The book is written wonderfully well with borderline stream of consciousness thing going on. He'll often delve into the future or past for a line or two before returning to passion of the moment. He even prefaces the future chapters by saying that much of what he has to say about young love will sound a little boring to those who've never experienced it. I've also found out (thanks to that great god wikipedia) that the right people have exchanged money and film version is being produced. Not a whole lot of info on it from what I tell. I was thinking about how cool a couple of scenes that Vanauken describes might look if filmed properly. And by properly I mean pleasing to my aesthetic palette.

Changing Gears, my friend who will be getting married soon got a sex talk from her parents not too long ago. I laughed when she told me what was said. This an amazing description of human intimacy and the enduring love of a man and his wife. And I quote,

"On your wedding night, your husband, er, {name removed for privacy} I guess, will get, ahem, aroused, and his penis will get hard. You will lie on your back and he will get on top of you, insert his penis into your vagina and rock back and forth until he literally explodes."
